The swimming pool at this Cheltenham school was suffering from inadequate airflow, creating a less than ideal environment for both students and staff.

The Challenge
Swimming pool environments are particularly demanding on ventilation systems — humidity and air quality both need to be tightly controlled to protect the building fabric and keep conditions comfortable for swimmers. The existing fan on the pool's supply and extract system was no longer able to deliver sufficient airflow, meaning the school needed a fast, effective fix to restore proper conditions in a high-use facility.
Fan Replacement
We replaced the existing fan with a new EC fan, correctly specified to ensure the required airflow was achieved for the space, with minimal disruption to the pool's operating schedule.
The Result
The pool now has the airflow it needs to maintain a comfortable, well-ventilated environment — improving conditions for everyone using the facility and protecting the building from the effects of poor humidity control.
