AHU Refurbishment for a London Secondary School
AHU Refurbishment for a London Secondary School
This secondary school required a full refurbishment of its supply and extract AHU to ensure safe, efficient ventilation across the school environment.
The Challenge
With hundreds of pupils and staff relying on the building's ventilation daily, reliability and air quality were non-negotiable. The existing forward-curved belt-driven fans were outdated and inefficient, the coil needed upgrading to meet current demand, and corrosion within the unit was a growing structural concern. The filter bulkhead and filters also needed replacing to maintain the air quality standards expected in a school environment — all while keeping disruption to term-time operations to a minimum.
EC Fan Wall Upgrade
Our engineers replaced the existing fans with a new EC fan wall, improving both energy efficiency and long-term reliability.
Coil Replacement
The coil was removed and replaced with a new DX coil, and all corrosion throughout the unit was removed and treated. Door hatches were also replaced to ensure a secure seal.
Filtration Upgrade
The filter bulkhead and filters were renewed, restoring high-quality filtration to maintain safe air quality standards throughout the school.
